DESIGN STUDIO - pink light design

pink light design will be showing their brand new collections at surtex in a few weeks time. the seattle based studio represents lots of talented designers from all over the world. their artists include: louise owens, jane dixon, esther loopstra, andrea jasid, philippa waite, elizabeth caldwell, kristin knych, alison butler, lucy oldfield, and rea davis. if you are going to surtex stop by and see their original fun, whimsical style in booth 317, at the javits centre new york from may 16-19th. collections include their new, sophisticated "pink chandelier" line of beautiful patterns which will be available for licensing. if you cant make the show you can still check them out online here.

DESIGNER - nina hutton

artist nina hutton has recently been doing freelance illustration work, having come from a background of graphic design and watercolour painting. nina has also opened an etsy shop with prints and notecards of some of her illustrations and patterns, and she is also looking for licensing opportunities. check out nina's blog here if you want to see more.

TEXTILES - lu prints

LUprints is a small textile company based in pemberton, bc (canada) with a range of home textiles from table runners to coasters to pillows. created by ulla clark LUprints designs are inspired by the mountains and farmland surrounding ulla's hometown, as well as her swedish heritage, and of course vintage textiles. ulla recently spent a month in japan which inspired one of her latest prints called 'the garden'. all the designs are hand printed using eco-friendly inks and you can see the whole collection online here.

DESIGNER - imeus/anthony peters

i love this fun childrens cityscape design by UK artist anthony peters who works under the studio name imeus design. anthony was brought to my attention after i saw his brilliantly bright posters for sale at french art publisher l'affiche moderne.

DESIGNER - kate thomas

designer kate thomas has just finished making 130+ patterns for a class in graphic design at mississippi state university. kate is a Senior who'll graduating in December. for her project called 'repeat' she created a book, calendar, posters, notebooks, and even had a solo show last week. kate is now looking to license her designs so do get in touch if you are interested in seeing more from kate via her website here.
