PROGRESSIVE GREETINGS LIVE

i thought i'd interupt my new york coverage with a look at yesterdays progressive greetings live show in london. this is the uk show for greetings cards and takes place over two days at the business design centre in islington. i wanted to bring you some snaphots of my show highlights (and i also picked up a bag of brochures and cards to go through as will so will post those once i've done some more research). to see more about who exhibits at the show, attending next year, or hiring a stand click here. if like me you love greetings cards or want to work in the industry then you could always consider subscribing to the progressive greetings monthly magazine here. my report begins with the awesome caroline gardner who were launching lots of new designs including fab new xmas gift bags and wrap.
another one of my faves is soul uk who had new lines from vicki aust and liza lewis amongst others.
another selection of gorgeous designs could be found on the liz & pip stand whose bold colourful designs never fail to impress.
belly button designs have the most eye catching neon colours and their stand at pg live was really zinging with great designs. new products included notebooks and a series of 'knickerbocker' mugs. the colours dont necessarily come across in the photos but trust me they are lovely.
new at this years show was a 'springboard' area offering cheaper stands to smaller start up publishers and individual designers.
in there i found one of my faves 'freckleface' aka tania lambert. tania was exhibiting new card ranges and wrapping paper in her quirky imaginative style.
the current nostalgia for the eighties was reflected in a new design from the strawberry card company where there were also some cute new christmas designs.
