DESIGNER - helen gordon

this beautiful fox illustration was created by designer helen gordon. forming part of helen's "decorative wildlife" collection it features on greetings cards, invitations, thank you cards and wall art prints. helen launched her label launched at top drawer just 2 years ago and is now growing as a brand with over 45 retail outlets. see the full collection online here.

STORESNAPS - mark's & spencer

i was in high street store marks & spencer last week and spotted a new range of kitchen storage tins. the first collection is called 'kitchen text' and will also be used on tea towels, mugs and trays. the second is a lovely folk design from their 'caravan' collection. also shown are various mugs and a lovely herb print tea towel.

DESIGNER - vicky yorke

vicky yorke is a freelance surface pattern designer from the west midlands who works creating designs for clients for homeware / kitchenware and stationery. vicky has a form of leukaemia, but am extremely lucky because medication means that she is able to continue working in the job she loves. through spending time at her local hospital care unit vicky knows the impact cancer can have and so she is having a virtual coffee morning today in aid of the macmillan charity and says everyone is invited. all the details on how to take part or buy a cake picture can be found on her design blog here.

NEW WORK - rachael taylor

 designer rachael taylor exhibited at the top drawer show in london last week to launch her new wallpaper designs with wallpapered.com
 and to showcase her own line of products including beautiful bags and aprons. rachael also hosted a 'designer charity doodle wall' on her stand. artists worked on the design live and rachael plans to digitally manipulate the resulting designs into a monotone and single colour collection. sponsored by wallpapered.com all proceeds of sale will go to cancer research UK. see how rachael's stand looked at the show online here

KIDS DESIGN - george at asda

all this week i have been focusing on children's design through store snaps of the new season clothing collections. this new autumn range from george was spotted in asda and features squirrels, hedgehogs and mushrooms in warm colours.
